They give detailed information on how to place the adaptor, but no matter where I place it on my desk I get intermittent static, and / or echoing. It is nice to be hands free, but I have heard that I sound as if though I am in a tunnel when I talk...and forget about leaving the office with the headset...it does not have the range to get more than to my door...which is only ten feet away from the phone. The overall quality of the product is good. It is made of tough plastic. It charges fast, and seems to hold its charge well. If you can deal with the static, it may be a good option.
