Set includes 133 pieces including a remote controlled infrared motor with a 25' range, headlights, windshield, bumper with license plate and even a hood "mouth" that opens and closes. Kids can follow the simple, color-coded instructions to build the Floppy Jalopy or use their imaginations to build a one-of-a-kind vehicle. Requires 7 "AA" batteries (not included). Measures approximately 14" x 8" x 8" when assembled.

I am going to give it to my grandson for his birthday, and I wonder if he won't find it too complicated also. Your basic gears are much more useable and allow the child to create their own fun.
